Calm Before The Storm

There's a hurricane on the horizon!
Another storm, the NFL season, is coming. The Philadelphia Eagles held an open practice yesterday at legendary Franklin Field. For those who don't know the Birds played at the home of the Penn Relays from 1958-1970. Winning their last championship at the venue in 1960 against the Green Bay Packers (only team to beat Vince Lombardi in a playoff game).

    In his younger years, my father went to see the Eagles play the Cleveland Browns every year at Franklin Field. He relates that Jim Brown was the best football player there ever was. And he also points out that he was a better lacrosse player.
