THE GOLF IS OPTIONAL, THE MIRTH IS REQUIRED! The only blog detailing PSU Track and Field, (not always great!) Golf, Physics topics and great videos at the same time! An eclectic mish-mash (mess) of just about everything imaginable. Penn State Track and Field Alumni Golfers have honored PSU Track/XC, Coach Harry Groves and abused golf courses throughout Happy Valley since 2002. Help spread the word!

A Note of Hope
It's exactly 2 hours before the Freeh Report will be posted online. I fully expect there to be horrible news that will rock those Nittany Lions still clinging to naive presumptions of the infallibility of those in charge of things at our beloved institution.
But I have a different take on things. I see this as the day that each and every one of us in the PSU Track and Field Alumni Golfer Universe has the greatest chance to make a difference in this world. This is Day 1 in a new epoch. Some of the finest people I have ever met are among us. (And there are many more to meet if our efforts are rewarded.)
Take a moment today, away from the revelations of heinous actions by individuals at PSU, and remember the many glorious things you have seen and done at Dear Ole State. The solution to the problems Lion Nation faces is within you.
Addendum: Good News isn't hard to find.
Well stated master blogger and keeper of sanity. We are part of the solution.

Thanks. It will be millions of tiny decent actions by all of us that PSU's reputation will be rehabbed. There will be plenty of exasperated "rabbits" (Christine Brennan...) calling for drastic actions, but the race will be won by all of us moral Tortoises" in Nittany Nation plodding step-by-step every day. Just as we have always done. I really appreciate your example and kind words.
