I took 3 days-in-a-row off from running for the first time in 12 years. But I'll be back at it again today on my trusty steed Excalibur, also known as the LifeFitness 9500HR Treadmill. It will be just "One Small Step..."
Speaking of small steps, Neil Armstrong's brother relates that Neil showed him the script for his first words on the moon while playing a game of Risk. How cool is that? How many of you played the game Risk? How many of you were born after man went to the moon?
Don't forget to get your votes in for the 2012 Performance of the Year. (Sorry, but winning a game of Risk won't qualify as a nomination for 2013. although any photos from the moon will garner considerable attention.)
I much more respect Dave's accomplishment of maintaining his recently-debunked streak and his desire to re-up to break that streak, than I do of some guy who strictly by chance winds up in line to in all likelihood be the first man on the moon...although in reality and in Armstrong's words it was man as in mankind that did so.
ReplyDeleteSooooo, for Armstrong to clearly blow a 12-word scripted sentence after innumerable hours of preparation, and then to deny the flub and have the powers-that-be attempt to cover the mistake up. Hmmm. To those naive people among the blog's audience...CONSPIRACIES EXIST, UBIQUITOUSLY.
And Dave, congrats once again, and good luck on your "new" venture, and I will gladly conspire with you to aid your surpassing your record...for the mere price of, say, some ol' Rec Hall-type lockers you may have pushed aside cluttering your house.
