Nittany Lion Grit and Other Things

Real Grit.
That's Erinn Otterson who is recovering from surgery following just about the worst injury I've seen in a while not involving an automobile.  A torn patellar tendon is horrible.  Two of them is unbelievable. Thank goodness he is a Penn State Track Alumni (Golfer). I'm pretty sure that means he will recover nicely.  What's weird was, when I first saw this photo I was wearing the same exact shirt.  Good luck Erinn, and we want the next photo with your Alumni Singlet when you're recovered!

Addendum 1:  The PSU Rugby Team has been reinstated following a thorough investigation.  That's minus the two guys who apparently got drunk and burned down their team's supply shed next to the golf course they share with our XC team.

Addendum 2:  Here's an old (2010) interview with Horace Ashenfelter by Gary Cohen recently highlighted on his Twitter feed.
