THE GOLF IS OPTIONAL, THE MIRTH IS REQUIRED! The only blog detailing PSU Track and Field, (not always great!) Golf, Physics topics and great videos at the same time! An eclectic mish-mash (mess) of just about everything imaginable. Penn State Track and Field Alumni Golfers have honored PSU Track/XC, Coach Harry Groves and abused golf courses throughout Happy Valley since 2002. Help spread the word!

This Is SportsCenter
Looks like Casimir Loxsom was on the ESPN campusrecently and even though this is a spoof of a "This Is SportsCenter" commercial, it still gets a chuckle. Shame it won't be on TV anytime soon.
ESPN started while I was roommates with Alan Scharsu in North Halls, next door to Don Skerpon. The electrical engineers on our floor used their nefarious sides to steal the cable from across the street in JoePa's neighborhood, and ran it down our radiators, charging $20 for each room splice. I remember telling my dad about a 24 hour sports channel, and he told me "that will never work!". It was mostly endless games of Australian Rules Football. Probably the only PSU Track Alum that has played that brutal sport is Ryan Foster, current Director of Operations.
Before ESPN was available on State College's cable system, several of us drove to a pizza shop in Snow Shoe to watch ESPN's coverage of the NCAA men's XC championship, so we got to see Alan and company perform.
Da, da, da.... Da, da, da.
