Despite the cancellation of the first home meet, The Jim Thorpe Invitational, the Outdoor Track and Field season began with a lone runner on the Left Coast. Tyler McCandless braved the field at the Stanford Invitational in the 10,000 M. Leading much of the race, and negative splitting, Tyler ended in 5th place with a time of 29:22.35, placing him 6th all-time on PSU's list, (just behind my teammate John Ziegler!). Congrats Tyler!

Outdoor Season Begins! Lone Runner in Schwarzeneggar's Backyard
Despite the cancellation of the first home meet, The Jim Thorpe Invitational, the Outdoor Track and Field season began with a lone runner on the Left Coast. Tyler McCandless braved the field at the Stanford Invitational in the 10,000 M. Leading much of the race, and negative splitting, Tyler ended in 5th place with a time of 29:22.35, placing him 6th all-time on PSU's list, (just behind my teammate John Ziegler!). Congrats Tyler!
