Is There Anything Physicists Can't Do?

The answer appears to be no!  Some physicists tinker with large rings like the Tevatron or the Large Hadron Collider, but few tinker with this kind of ring.  He also apparently did this as an intellectual exercise and derived no financial benefit from it.  Sort of a hobby of his, just to keep his mind sharp.
