The World University Games are the world's second largest sports event, only eclipsed by the Olympics themselves.
After a successful and long indoor and outdoor campaign, Casimir Loxsom extended it by an extra month and a half to travel literally half-way around the world to compete in Shenzhen China. He was accompanied by "PSU is 800U" Coach John Gondak.
Cas negotiated the first two rounds of the event with 1:47 efforts and finished fourth in the finals with a 1:46.73 time as the first American. And he will be thrilled to learn that the return flight is noticeably shorter! He'll return to the good ole USA just in time to start classes in his Junior Year at PSU. Next up is steeplechaser Bridget Franek at the World Championships in South Korea.
