A Quality World Championships for PSU Track Alumni (Golfers)* and a Brief Lesson in Physics.

*The golf is always optional, but highly recommended.

Three PSU Track Alumni ventured to the rainbow-averse Moscow IAAF World Championships, coming away with a Silver Medal, a Bronze Medal and an appearance in the Semi-Finals.  Not a bad performance overall.
  • Ryan Whiting (USA) - Shot Put
  • Shana Cox (Great Britain) - 4x400 Relay
  • Aleesha Barber (Trinidad) - 100M Hurdles

And here is a brief video that will teach you more about Physics than all of high school ever did!

  1. A physics question: How easy is Feynman's 'Six Easy Pieces?' Can someone whose only college level science class was geology understand it?

  2. Six Easy Pieces is a great introduction to Physics. Get the written and taped versions and follow along. The fact that it's called "Easy" will humble most people. The first lecture will be completely understandable to most anyone with any science acumen at all. There will be examples of times in the other 5 when you say "What?" but there will be enough you understand to start to get cocky. When you are done, get the next set of "5 Not So Easy Pieces" to be put back into your place. If that isn't enough, talk with Ron Moore a bit to be properly humbled!
