In Track Training, What Goes Around, Comes Around

In early season track workouts for my daughters, I have noticed a similarity to some of our own distance workouts in the times of yore at PSU.

Their first workout was "The Two-Headed Monster" which consisted of a warm-up to a valley between two hills on a lightly traveled road. Then repeats going up and down either side until either tired or vomiting.  Which was exactly like our repeats at North Oak Lane in the Park Forest neighborhood.

Then there is the "Mexican Moguls" which is a hill with 4 separate "hills" built in.  These are run like our very own Julian Pike although it more resembles our Four Hills on Big Hollow Road.

Except that my kids won't miss dinner at the end of the hill repeat workout!
