I'm pretty sure that's
Duke on the bottom of the pile with a broken hip, with
Wichita State next to him with something sticking out of his <

Here's
Ken Cooper's Update to the Round of 16:
I fricking hate Kentucky. Hate em. My dream (and Wichita State’s dream) ends to the One and Done’s.
Sports Illustrated is having a career year. SI is in the lead and looking decent with Florida as its champ.
Lance
Elliott is next as he hit an amazing 13 of the Sweet 16. Lance is an
Iowa State T & F alum currently ripping it up on the national
masters circuit (8:56 3000/4:42 Mile/2:03 800 at recent USA Masters
Champs in Boston). And I love he is riding his alma mater and The Mayor
to win it. What a strange ending to their win over UNC.
The avg. of 8.86 right is down slightly from the historical average of 9.00.
Tom
Bisko – I wonder if you agree that the point guard for Carolina should
have known better and been shooting instead of calling a time out?
The
Tease Myself Award goes to Crash Von Crash (PSU Dist) who hit a
personal record of 12 of the Sweet 16, but no matter how hard he tries,
Duke ain’t coming back in to help. I like that his son Noah is
following in his dad’s footsteps. He is leading the 13 & Under
division, but has Wichita State as his champ. Go bold or go home is a
good way to live March Madness.
The
biggest surprise has to be Tennessee, who is looking very good. Only 6
people had Tenn in the Sweet 16 and I am sure a few of them were
thinking Iowa was going to win the play-in game. Nice work to Mark Rupe
(former Cincinnati distance ace), Scott Munro (PSU Dist), Colin
Marshall (13 & U), Hartranft Hall (Celebrity), Matt Groves (PSU Mid
Dist) and Maddie Cooper (13 & U).
Second
biggest surprise is Stanford. Only 7 people had that, including Maddie
Cooper (13 & U), Lauren Hall (13 & U), Todd Kletter (PSU
Mid-Dist and IM Hoops Legend), Colin Marshall (13 & U), Dennis
McCarthy (PSU Dist), Hank Oppenheimer (PSU Field) and Maddi Raz (PSU
Spouse).
Special recognition to Colin Marshall and Maddie Cooper who are both 13 & U and who both nailed Tennessee AND Stanford.
Jim Clelland. I confirmed you were 4th in 2012. Just as painful as being 4th in the Olympics, ain’t it?
Congrats
to Avery Cooper who wrapped up the DFL title with a convincing 0 in the
Sweet 16. Avery is 3 and made her March Madness debut. Out of fair
disclosure, she may have had considerable help from her dad on trying to
win the coveted DFL title. Sorry Dan Kunetz (PSU Dist).
My new Final Four = Florida, Virginia, Tennessee, and Wisconsin.
Please let me know of any corrections on Divisions.
All payments received by Wednesday will count for the Winner Take All Pool.
Until later this week!
Coop
