Upcoming Podcasts

I have 3 people confirmed to participate in the next several Podcasts.  My desire is to highlight the variety of talents, intelligence and over-all "goodness" of the Penn State Track and Field Alumni Universe.
  1. The Physics One: (subtitle, The Brainiac One)  A discussion with Ron Moore about coming to PSU and running for Coach Groves while studying the hardest of sciences, Physics.  We will also discuss his travels in the Physics world since PSU and his continued running activities.
  2. The Hollywood One:  A discussion with Mike Pfaff on the similarities and differences between State College and Hollywood.  With a focus on his upcoming feature films, a look back at some great work and his efforts to put PSU Track into everything he does!
  3. The Weather One: A look at how Tyler McCandless is faring in his combination of Meteorology Doctorate and Professional Running. (The answer is very well, indeed!)
This listing lacks a Women's Team alumnus, and I'm well aware of that.  I have a few people in mind but would appreciate a volunteer or recommendation from anyone.

Don't forget to check out our first 2 Podcasts and spread the word.
  • Podcast 1: The Sub-4 One: With coblogger  Matt Groves, Coach Groves and Greg Fredericks discussing the sub-4 minute mile among other topics.
  • Podcast 2: The Rock and Roll One: With Paul Szouza of our House Band the Velveteen Playboys talking about his high-jumping at PSU, his coaching career, and his music career.

  1. Thanks Dave for the last 2 podcasts; really enjoyed them. I listen to podcasts while commuting to and from work and while working on weekends, and these were a nice change of pace. Joe Clinton

  2. Thanks. I really appreciate the comments Joe. I realize I'm not the most dynamic host, but I do have a desire to get better and bring more things to our blog. I just firmed up a fourth guest, our first Women's Team member. More on that later.
