Track Season Starts With a Bang

Both PSU Multi-Eventers started off the first day of the outdoor season with great success!  Brittany Howell leads the Heptathlon and Rob Cardina leads the Decathlon (over returning NCAA champion Johannes Hock).

(Freshman) Rob Cardina:
  • 10.99 (PR) in the 100M    863 points
  • 23' 2" (PR) in the long jump    828 points
  • 42' 2" in the shot put       661 points
  • 7' 0.25"  (PR) in the high jump    934 points
  • 50.69 in the 400 M  782 points
  • First Day Total 4,068 (School Record) (old record Rick Kleban '85,  last year's Coach Harry Groves Golf Tournament winner, 3,931)
Brittany Howell:
  • 13.61  in the100M Hurdles    1,034 points
  • 5' 7.75"  in the high jump   879 points
  • 36' 9" in the shot put  608 points
  • 24.63 in the 200 M   921 points
  • First Day  3,442 points
