The Secretary of Recreation: "PSU is 800 U" Enters Politics?

That's Rick Santorum on the bottom right of this photo of the Tau Epsilon Phi Fraternity in 1980. And that's Steve Black on the upper left side of the photo.  Rick apparently had the highest GPA among the brothers until Gary Black came along. I'm waiting on the official transcripts for verification.

I'm officially nominating Steve for a new cabinet post in our ever-enlarging Federal government; that of Secretary of Recreation.  If they don't want the government to get larger, I feel we could get rid of the Dept. of Education and divert the funds to the new Dept. of Recreation.

  1. Politics aside - a pipe at age 22? Seriously? They had to be throwing empties at the projector screen that night!!!

I know at least one right wing Republican nut who won't be voting for him simply because he went to PSU!! :) Rush Baker, III

  3. Any of my five dogs would be better than the Nobel Prize Winner in Experimental Physics. Sheldon and I have disdain for the experimenters! But I just told my dogs, the job is yours.

  5. Some physicists believe that in a parallel universe Santorum will be elected Prez, and tab St. Michael the Archangel as Defense Secretary to lead the fight against Satan. Rumors that Santorum had pegged the Pope for a cabinet position are false. The former senator feels that the Vatican's apology in 1992 for its handling of the Galileo affair was off base.

  6. The current Pontiff, soon to be 85, is way too young and liberal in his viewpoints to fill a Santorum cabinet post. Unconfirmed reports stated that an exhumation of Pope Pius XII was given brief consideration, but Santorum prefers nearly dead Pat Buchanan instead.
